Four of today's hottest authors have gotten together to bring one outstanding erotic romance book about sexy men and even sexier love scenes. For those who haven't taken the plunge into erotic romance here is the chance to check out four short stories from some of the genre's hottest stars. All four authors are successful in the genre in their own right. Bringing them together was a publishers brainstorm.

All over the internet last week, fans were chatting up this upcoming release waiting to get their greedy little hands on it. They won't be disappointed when they finally do.

I think all the stories were great, but if I had to pick my favs they would be Lora's Cooper's Fall and Cheyenne's The Edge of Sin.

The sex scenes in Cooper's Fall were more than steamy hot and Cooper fits with Lora's usual strong alpha hero. The story line involved just the right amount of intrigue to make it more than just a sex story.

Cheyenne's The Edge of Sin was one of her best. You can just feel the connection between Zane and Willow. The heroine, Willow's character, was written so beautifully. She jumped off the page and came to life as strong, bold and sassy and is the perfect match to Zane's hard edged handsome alpha character.

The other two stories were written just as well with strong beautiful leading ladies and sexy alpha heros.

Description:

Luring Lucy by Lori Foster

All Lucy was looking for when she went to her vacation home was in innocent fling to quell the yearning she had felt since her husband died four years ago. She never expected her longtime friend Bram to lure her into a love affair so hot.

Cooper's Fall by Lora Leigh

Former ranger turned bar owner Ethan Cooper never expected to get an eyeful of prim Miss Sarah Fox from his attic window one hot summer afternoon. But now his blood is on fire for the delicious little minx.

The Edge of Sin by Cheyenne McCray

Zane Steele lives a life of extraordinary danger as a government agent and has never let anyone get too close. Then he sees the one woman who changes his life forever.

Wanted: A Real Man by Heidi Betts

Claire left her high school sweetheart Linc, in search of a better life. Ten years later she needs his help as a U.S. Marshal to find her missing daughter. . .Linc's daughter. Reeling with the knowledge of a daughter he's never known, Linc sets out to claim what's his.

Can you say HOT!! I've always thought that Lora Leigh had a flair for the erotic, but Nauti Intentions is right up there with the best. The love scenes in this book will send shivers down you spine and leave ladies wondering where they can get their own Major Alex Jansen. Oh Alex isn't perfect by any means, there were times in the story where I wanted to slap him upside the head, but he certainly made this story worth reading.

Janey Mackay wasn't half bad herself. The feisty Mackay daughter character was very well developed. I would have liked to have heard more about her in the previous stories, but Lora did a great job of presenting her character in this novel.

The Nauti series itself deserves high praise. I'm making my way through Lora Leigh's series and so far this one has turned out to be second on my list. My first favorite is the entire "Breed" series, which includes the cats, wolves and coyotes. I have to say though, so far I haven't found a Lora Leigh book that I totally hate. Another good series to check out by Lora is the "Bound" series. For now this one is complete, although since she added Nauti Intention, I'm wondering if we might see something that includes Rogue and the sexy sheriff?

Description:

Since he saw Janey Mackay taking a dip in her bikini, Major Alex Jansen has had to quell the fire she ignites in him. Even touching her would mean death at the hands of the Mackay men. Until now, the girl of his dreams—and fantasies—has lived in a vacuum of affection, shying away from the danger she thinks men represent. Alex sets out to prove her wrong, with his torturously slow caresses. Everyone thinks Janey's safe now, with her abusers dead. But when someone starts leaving spine-chilling notes, Alex won't rest until she's completely safe. And completely his—body and soul.

The third and best book so far in the Nauti Boys series. I just fell in love with Natches. He's a guy who has been through hell and back. He becomes an assassin for the Marines and expects that's all will ever come of his life. Then at the end of a mission he intercepts a call for help and goes in guns blazing to rescue a female Intelligence officer, Chaya, in Iraq.

Four years later Chaya is working for Homeland Security when she meets Natches again. Chaya (Greta) is first seen in the second book of the series Nauti Nights. A year later she comes back in town to continue the investigation into arms dealing. Her boss, Timothy, is also back. Timothy hasn't given her all the details, but knowing him as she does Chaya is worried about what he's up to, especially when he tells her to keep the Mackay's out of her investigation.

Now she has Natches and his cousins even more curious about what she's doing. But what she's even more concerned about is being around Natches again. She knows that once he gets her back, he won't be letting her go.

I've liked all three books in the Nauti Boy series, but this one was my favorite of the three. It had an interesting plot that went past the fabulously sexy love scenes. The plot was well written and executed well.

It doesn't seem like in the beginning, Lora Leigh had planned to have a fourth book, but next up is Nauti Intentions. I'll be sorry to see the end of the Nauti Mackay boys, but at least we got one more chance to hear about them.

Description:

Third in a sizzling trilogy by the New York Times bestselling author of Nauti Boy and Nauti Nights.

Natches Mackay separated himself from his family years ago, except for the two cousins who gave him the only family he'd known. Now he's being dragged back into his father's life in ways that could destroy him and the one woman who tempts him beyond reason: Government Agent Chaya Dane, who has fought to put her own past behind her. A mission in Somerset, Kentucky, brings her back into the dreams of Natches—and into the shadows cast by his father, suspected in the theft of government missiles. And it could cost Chaya more than she ever imagined.

Blackmail is such a dirty business, but after eight years of waiting on the one woman he really wanted, James "Dawg" Mackay couldn't wait any longer. He had Crista Jansen right where he wanted her. For years Dawg had been having vivid dreams of what he wanted to do to Crista, but every time he tried to get close to her she backed away. Then suddenly eight years ago she just took off and moved in with another man in another state. Now she's back and in trouble and Dawg will stop at nothing to keep her safe, as well as have his way with her, every way possible.

Crista remembers things a little bit differently. Perhaps that's because Dawg doesn't remember what happened the one and only night they shared together. Even though she could never forget Dawg that is exactly what she sets out to do, unfortunately that isn't what happens and after eight years she decides to sweep the ghosts out of her past. Now she's been home for over a year and suddenly strange things are happening to her. Then one day she runs on what she thinks is a simple errand to turns into bullets being fired all around her. It turns out the one who saves her is the one man she can't forget Dawg.

I liked the second story in the Nauti Boys series, Nauti Nights, a little better than the first. The characters were a little stronger and the buildup of the mystery was nicely executed. At first I was a little concerned that I wouldn't like the blackmail angle to the story, but Dawg more than redeems himself throughout the story. I like Crista too. She's been thrown to the wolves and in a desperate situation that isn't of her own making. She's smart and sassy, which I love in a heroine. Dawg is the ultimate Nauti Boy, especially in the love scenes. So far this series is really good.

I love series books and reading them one right after the other is more fun for me than waiting a few months for the next one to come out. So I'm off to read the next book in this series "Nauti Dreams."

Description:

James "Dawg" Mackey has lusted after sweet Crista Jansen for years. Just as many as she's spent running from him—and from that dangerous attraction that shot like a spark through her whole body. But now for Crista, running isn't an option anymore because Dawg's got a plan. It's kind of low-down. And kind of hot.

Blackmail is a dirty word, but Dawg will use it if that's what it takes to get Crista where he wants her. His hungers are too hard and fierce not to. He doesn't realize that Crista has a longing too. She's knows what he's up to, what he's capable of. He didn't get that nickname for nothing. And before the night is through, Crista's making him work for it.

Rowdy Mackay has waited a long time for Kelly Benton to grow up. He had always known he was going to claim her, but knew she was too young for what he wanted from her, so he enlisted in the Marines and bided his time. Now years later he's back to stake his claim, but is he too late?

Kelly has loved Rowdy since he saved her from a bunch of bullies in the playground when she was nine years old. She had been saving herself for him, until one tragic night everything went wrong. After a brutal attack, Kelly isn't the same girl that Rowdy left behind.

Since her attack Kelly has been hiding away, while the man who attacked her stalks her with phone calls and watches her every move. Rowdy won't sit back and wait for something to happen, he's a take-charge man, but can he keep Kelly safe from the insane man who wants to own her?

I've been anxiously awaiting Lora's new "Breed" series book and found that it wouldn't be out until August, so I decided it was time to check out one of her other series I hadn't read and came across this four book series. (I know they called it a trilogy originally, but I found a fourth book, "Nauti Intentions" was released in early April.) These books are similar to the August brother's series, but not as dark. As a matter of fact the MacKay cousins are related to the Augusts.

So far this is shaping out to be a good series, written in Lora's normal erotic style. The heroes are strong and possessive and the heroines are feisty and adventurous. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the series shapes up.

Description:

First in a trilogy that crosses the boundaries of erotic fiction-from the bestselling author of Megan's Mark.

Too weak to resist young Kelly Benton's attempts at seduction, Rowdy Mackay left home eight years ago. Duty as a U.S. Marine put a safe distance between temptation and the nubile Kentucky vixen. Now he's back home and ready to engage in the kind of erotic games that have earned him and his two cousins a Nauti-boy reputation in three counties.

Once it was Kelly's dream too-to feel the heat of the boy she desired. But an attack from a stalker still on the prowl has left Kelly terrified of a man's touch. Now as fear and desire converge, Rowdy fights to save her from the deadly threats of a stranger, to rid her of her demons, and to satisfy a hunger more powerful than either can imagine.

Only Pleasure

Author: Lora Leigh

Series Connection: Book 10 of the Bound Hearts Series

ISBN: 978-0312368739

Genre: Erotic Contemporary Romance

This book is a continuation of Lora Leigh's Bound Heart series. The novel continues where the previous, Wicked Pleasures ended. In Wicked Pleasures Lora introduced readers to twins Cameron and Chase Falladay. The two brothers are private investigators who work exclusively for "The Club". Only Pleasure is the story of Chase Falladay.

The story begins with a familiar tale that readers of the Bound Hearts series should recognize. In other books in the series members of "The Club" have referred to the woman who almost let the secret club out in the open. She was a woman scorn by her husband, as the tale went, who told about the dark habits of "The Club's" members. Now after hearing of this infamous woman for the past nine books, Lora has allowed us to meet her and learn that maybe she wasn't the vindictive woman we all thought she was.

Finding out that her husband was interested in sharing her with another man was a complete surprise to Kia Rutherford-Stanton. So surprising as a matter of fact the man didn't inform her what he was doing until he got her drunk and nearly raping her in the process. When rumors start to circulate about her husband's involvement with "The Club", Chase has to go to Kia and ask her to help him stop the rumors.

For years Kia has kept to herself. She took the blame for what happened two years ago and them backed away from all the friends and people she once knew. When she does come out in public she holds her head high and pretends nothing is wrong. After one such event, Kia runs into Chase and his friend Khalid and spends a night with the two men she will never forget.

Chase has always cared for Kia. He realized long before she married her husband that she was special to him, but he didn't think she could handle his dark side. Now even though she has submitted to him and his third, he still isn't sure getting involved with her is the right thing to do. When someone tries to kill Kia, Chase can't allow anything to happen to her. Kia knows she can trust her life in Chase's hands, but can she trust her heart?

Each and every one of Lora's Bound Hearts series is delightfully wicked. This author is truly a master at erotic romance and even at book ten the theme of this series isn't getting old. I particularly love the Falladay twins and the women they have chosen. The supporting characters are also very appealing. As with Saxon before he had his own story, I can't wait until Khalid finds his match.

Description:

Since Chase Falladay came to her rescue two years ago, Kia Stanton has never been able to forget the powerful man or the kind of life he leads. So two years later when she runs into Chase and his friend, Khalid, and leaves with them that night, she knows exactly where it is all heading. However, little prepares her for what it is like to be in Chase's arms, and in his bed. After years of holding back, Kia is finally able to be the woman she's always dreamed of being in his arms. Kia is a dream Chase has not allowed himself to entertain. Now that he has her, it's her heart he's after and he's determined to win it, no matter the cost. And even though they both agreed that it would only be for pleasure, somewhere along the way it becomes and all-consuming love.

About the author from her Website:

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared. Lora's family, and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in relative peace with each other. Surrounded by a menagerie of pets, friends, and a teenage son who keeps her quick wit engaged, Lora's life is filled with joys, aided by her fans whose hearts remind her daily why she writes.

Coyote's Mate

Author: Lora Leigh

Series: Coyote's 2

Series Connection: Breeds, Wolves

ISBN: 978-0-425-22633-9

Genre: Paranormal Romance

5 Hearts

Description:

He always knew he would betray her...

Anya Korbin was only sixteen when she first came to Del-Rey Delgado—the genetically altered rebel known as the Coyote Ghost. For six years they plotted to free a group of Coyote women kept in Anya's father's lab. As Anya matured into a woman, she and Del-Rey grew close -- but on the day of the ambush, he broke his promise and shot her father.

Filled with rage over the betrayal, Anya discovers an even stronger emotion is consuming her mind and body—the animalistic desire known as mating heat. Though Del-Rey feels it with the same intensity, Anya questions whether she can forgive him or trust him again. As they stealthily maneuver to bring the freed Breeds to safety, one question reigns supreme: Can Anya and Del-Rey survive their own heat?

My View:

The minute the new edition to Lora Leigh's series was on the shelves I made my way to grab a copy and I wasn't disappointed. This addition to the Coyote series will keep readers entertained and filled with emotion. Reading Anya plight will bring tears to the eyes of even the hardest romance reader.

I love the way Lora connects her series. In Mercury's War and Christmas Heat, Lora started a new story line featuring American based companies trying to create drugs to use against the Breeds. In Coyote's Mate she continues offering more pieces to the puzzle, but not completing the story. I'm glad that Lora finally got around to telling Del Rey and Anya's story. In Aiden's Charity the author kept us waiting with more information about the couple that we only meet briefly after finding out that Anya is going through the same mating heat that all the other women in the Breed series. The couple works well together and I liked getting to revisit the wolf compound and catching up Wolfe and Hope again.

On the other hand, while I understand the need to finally find a woman who stands against all the mating heat and stuff, I was a little disappointed the author tried it with this couple. I would love to see a story where Lora portrays a woman who just meets her mate for the first time and bam she's in mating heat and then wants nothing to do with him or the mating heat because she doesn't know him and is scared to death of what's happening to her. Let that character petition to be separated from her mate. While I understood why Anya was angry and mistrusting I also saw the couple's growing love even before the mating. That alone should have seen them back together after a few days not months later. Maybe a good person to have mating troubles like this would be Jonas' character. That could be really entertaining.

While a little disappointing, that didn't detract me from giving this book five stars though. I found the book was well written, the story line appealing and readers of the series will enjoy keeping up with characters and the story. For those who haven't read the series, this is a good one to start on. Lora Leigh takes on a whole new meaning to the weres and mating.

Aiden's Charity

Author: Lora Leigh

Series: Wolf Breeds, Book 3

ISBN: 1-84360-626-7

5 Hearts

Description:

The forces of survival and destruction swirl in the darkest corners of men's minds. The nature of the beast cannot be harnessed, and survival is the purest of all instincts. Survival of the species itself goes soul deep.

But can the human heart accept and adapt as easily? Can Charity bestow the love and the acceptance that has always been a part of her, to the man whose very survival depended on the hardening of his heart, of his soul? And can Aiden maintain that cruelty now, in the face of the sacrifices she made? Only time and nature can tell.

My View:

Although this book has been out for a while I added it to the book of reviews because Lora Leigh's new novel, Coyote's Mate, lead characters were first introduced in this story. Although each of Leigh's Breed and Wolf series can be read alone, it would be helpful for readers to get a handle on the series first. Aiden's Charity is a quick read and worth the extra time to get to know the other characters in the series.

Besides that this is a wonderful book. The characters are strongly written, the sex scenes are hot and the author sets the scene well. The love story between Aiden and Charity starts six years before when Charity saves his life. The only problem is Aiden isn't all that happy about the way Charity goes about it and swears to exact revenge against the young doctor. When they meet each other again Aiden has to come to terms with what he felt was Charity's betrayal at the same time save her life. The story is a must for anyone who is a fan of Leigh's Breed and Wolf series.

Mercury's War

Author: Lora Leigh

Series: Breed

ISBN: 978-0-425-22418-2

4 Hearts

Description:

There's trouble brewing at Sanctuary. Someone has been slipping secure information to a pharmaceutical company. Now it's up to Ria Rodriquez to pose as a clerk and uncover the leak. And she has no idea of the danger she's about to encounter.

Years ago, Mercury Warrant—who, according to his file, is one of the greatest Breeds ever created—thought he lost his mate, and he's had to live with the idea that he'll never know true bonding. Then he's tapped to protect the mysterious Ria—and finds himself falling in love.

But Ria is a woman of many secrets, and she fears being consumed by her feelings for Mercury. Little does she know that she has every right to be afraid. Because the woman believed to be Mercury's true mate is back from the grave, and she's not about to let Ria—or anyone else—get in her way.

My View:

"They were created, not born. They were trained, not raised. They weren't meant to be free, to laugh, to play or to love. They were men and women whose souls had been forged in the fires of hell..."

The prolog to the first few book goes a long way in telling the story Lora Leigh has created. Mercury's War is the 16th book in Leigh Breed series. These are her explanation to the existence of were creatures. I've enjoyed these books from the first. Sometimes they idea behind the stories get a little repetitive—there are just so many times that one can go through the explanation of the mating heat—but the intrigue, betrayals and characters created through the series keeps it going.

Mercury's War is no exception to the rule. As the story line unfolds readers get to learn more about Mercury's past. We first meet Mercury in the second book of the series, when the original group first moves into Sanctuary and learn that he is the only breed among the group who has lost his mate. Through much of the series Mercury pops up many times until he works his way into the position of enforcer under Jonas.

Leigh does a lot with his character and provides him with a mate he can be proud of. Ria is a smart, strong and viable heroine. She brings along with her the connection of "The Leo" and his son Dane. As usual even in the end the Breeds are still in danger and the story continues. According to Leigh's blog, we can expect to see at least four other books in the near future. This review is written after the second time I read this book in the past several months. I wanted to prepare myself again for the Breeds' world again now that Coyote's Mate is out. I'll have to wait another day though, as I take a quick reread at Aiden's Charity. This will be the first time we meet the character in the new book. I'm so excited I'll probably pull an all-nighter.

Just a quick note: Whenever I read blogs and comments about the Breed series it is always in reference to Jonas and his story. Jonas is a great character, but what about Dane. I'd love to see if he ever meets his mate and what his story is.

Whatever it takes.

Whatever he has to do.

My View:

Just two words: "Sex Fest". This book was is one of Lora's older novels, written in 2006. I happened to see a print version on B&N's shelf and decided to give it a try. Honestly, I love Lora Leigh. Even some of her really way out there titles like the August Men series. This book wasn't bad, but not one of Lora's best. She had a good story line going, but I really would have liked to have read more of the other side of the couples life than just their sex life. The characters needed to be expanded on a bit more. I kept asking myself, if Slade owned part of a construction company what was he doing working for Homeland Security. A little more development into Jessie's character would have made it so that she didn't seem like such a twit for waiting around for someone she had no idea she would ever see again. I thought the rest of the scenes in the book were well written and worth reading. Just dont go into reading the book thinking the style will be up to Lora current books. She's definitely improving with age.
